OPEN class
Contemporary technique
These classes are directed to people interested in dance as an art of expression
The class will turn around one or two themes per day including warm up, floorwork and dance evolutions in the space.
From high voltage to lazy-looking forms, where energy & imaginary are the rulers of the rhythm.
The participants are encouraged to appropriate & stage the given material in the shortest delay of time.

PRO class
Contemporary technique
These dance technique classes are addressed to dancers and actors with good physical sportive training background interested in dance as an artistic form of expression.
The classes tune to the demands of the dance career and are shaped with given movement sequences of Floorwork and movement across the space with high doses of energy and dynamic changes. Without aiming to impose any aesthetics, the movements might also look like pedestrian and quotidian.
For the elaborate simplicity of the proposed language besides focussing on technique we will get encouraged to perform it in the shortest delay of time.
Biography
Born in Donostia (Spain), Bask folk was his initial approach to dance. He does Classical Ballet formation as well as he studies Jazz & Modern dance. In 1994 he joins the work of Wim Vandekeybus at his company Ultima Vez in Brussels. During three years he will perform Wim’s creations and after his retirement from active performing, continues as assistant to his choreographies. He keeps being related to his work in one way or another.

Winning the first prize in the VI Choreographic Contest of Madrid, gave him the opportunity to create his first production “Diálogo de sordos” (Deaf Dialogues).

OPEN class
Improvisation
Class follows the classical principle: from simple to complex - new principles of improvisation will gradually be added, but already mastered will become more complex.
Experience shows that even art cannot exist without theoretical base, therefore from the very beginning to the very end we will try to communicate, see and hear each other.
Every day we will learn different sequences with different focus and quality of movements.

PRO class
Improvisation
Class will be built on sensations, exploration, ingenuity, understanding and developing own style.
Tasks we will use, will help to become more aware and build a connection between the form and the principle of movement, as well as test your physical ability and endurance. In this class, we will try to connect: speed, fusion, energy and infinity of movement.

OPEN class
‘creating while doing’
My picture looks like this: I improvise and find myself in the middle of a complexity beyond my ability to grasp; I am flying. I try to recreate that moment, using my memory or video, but its never the same - either I must improvise or I must accept that I can only find back 70% of the complexity. 70% of the complexity may be enough.’ [from Jonathan Burrows]

This course will be focusing on the literal and non-literal sense of creating while doing. Through different methods and proposals offered, we will be investigating intelligent-thinking body process in the context of creation. During this course we will be focusing more on collaborative research, from that collaborative research we will be finding your own compositional working methods that can develop and grow.

This class is open to all levels of movers. Learn to soften into the floor, hone in on your upper body strength, practice the ability to surrender and work with gravity to find fluidity of motion. This class will go step by step into accessing your own impulse, relaxation, strength and the use of momentum. Come find your floorworkflow.

PRO class
Flow through hyper-dynamic movement defined by musicality and rhythm while experiencing a variety of qualities and sensations. This floorworkflow class, focuses on awakening the senses and inviting the release of unnecessary muscle tension as we use the body’s weight and gravity to our advantage.
